This year I had the opportunity to design the interior of two identical 2-room small apartments, located in the same building in Oradea.
The initial layout was quite poor, hence we decided to switch things up and improve the situation. You can see the result of the 1st apartment, the issues we addressed, as well as a before-and-after of the layout here: Summer No 5 Apartment.
While for the 1st apartment we decided to separate the kitchen from the living room with a partial wall, for this 2nd one presented here we opted for a kitchen island. This way, we fully retained the idea of open space, while still clearly defining each area and supplementing storage and workspace.
We also aimed for a different look for this one. A more elegant, sober atmosphere, with the use of darker wood texture for the custom made furniture, light cream walls, sofa, floor and accessories, black and occasionally golden accents, moss green tiles adding personality and elegance through their color and irregular shine.
